Beloved Community Church is proud to host the Cincinnati Bail Fund.
We believe, the church can be and should be a place to strategize. We should do more than just come to worship, we should plan how we can work together to make sure that God's love and justice is at work in the world. At Beloved Community Church, the Cincinnati Bail Fund is one way that we strategize, organize, and mobilize to help manifest God's love and justice.
About the Bail Fund.
In the wake of the egregious murder of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police, people all around the world took to the streets to protest senseless and racism police brutalities. Here in Cincinnati, thousands of protesters were unjustly arrested for exercising their first amendment rights. In addition to demanding that the City of Cincinnati drop the charges against theses individuals we immediately began working with the National Bail Fund to create a local fund to ensure that no individual was stuck in jail unnecessarily for protesting. For us, this is what it means to create a Beloved Community. It means, moving to action with a commitment to aligning with those working for justice and the liberation of oppressed people.
