The destruction of property in Ferguson and Baltimore have made national news in the past 8 months as people have wrestled with what are effective and moral ways of protesting police action.  After having already written about the dangers of seperating out the worthy and the unworthy in Even Ishmael's Life Matters and lifting up the sacred call to protest in Shut It Down, Pastor Nelson further theologically examines what is happening around the country, and even in Cincinnati as the murder rate is rising in this Sunday's sermon.

By looking at the pop hit When Doves Cry, and the movie that introduced this song, Purple Rain. Pastor Nelson sets up a unique conversation about the state of our community looking at Mark 5. We could tell you more, but it's probably just best if you listen for yourself.
